| "May God raise up a generation whose love for Him rules their schedule rather than their time schedules ruling their love for Him, who will count spiritual food more important than physical food and eat it as the great delight, who will walk continually in Power--not just hope power will come someday, who will let the Living Word, Jesus Christ, possess their lives and change their world, and who will never stop crying 'That I may know Him.'" (Smith Wigglesworth)
I absolutely love this quote. It is so true---so many times we focus on our schedule and what we have to do, rather than putting God first. In reality, when we focus on God, everything else seems to fall right into place. There is a new hunger in my soul and a new desire to know Him like I never have. There is power in the word...b/c "the word was with God and the word was God" (John 1:1). He promises that when we seek, we will find. | | |
| Ok...so the craziest thing of all time happened today. I was awaken this morning at 8:00am by a loud noise, which sounded like someone breaking in my house. So, of course, I jumped out of bed and met my parents in the living room. We looked out the window and there was a car that slammed into our porch! As it turned out, this guy had stolen a car and was running from the police. Well, he came across the railroad tracks into our property, jumped out of the car, took off running, and let the car roll. The car hit our satellite, my dad's utility trailor, and landed right at our porch! By the grace of God, the car didn't come right in our living room. Also, if the car had rolled a little to the left, it would have hit our gas tank. So, God was definitely watching out for my family and I today. I'm so grateful for His protection!! | | |
| Here's something to think about....
God never told us to climb mountains...He told us to speak to mountains. Jesus told us in the Bible that if we have faith, then we can speak to the mountain and tell it to move, and it will (Mt 17:20)!! So many times, we get so caught up in our difficult situations and forget what His word says. Also, Proverbs 18:21 says that "life and death are in the power of the tongue." So, think about it...whatever "mountain" or hardship that you are facing can be overcome by speaking "life" into the situation. God's grace is sufficient and His power is amazing. It's awesome to think that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. We are mighty through God!!! He is strong when we are weak. His promises are true!!!!!
So, I hope this encouraged someone, b/c it really encourages me when I think about it!!
Luv ya,

| So, as Robert pointed out, I guess I should update! It has been quite awhile since I've shared the lovely details of my life! Wow...I don't know where to begin. Well, I guess I'll start with school. I gave my first shot last week to my patient!!!! I was soooo scared, because I didn't want to hurt him. But, it went really well! And tomorrow, I learn how to put in feeding tubes. That's kinda scary. I had my health assessment midterm today and it went really well.
So, on to other news....my dad is working on fixing/making us a road so we can get out of our yard. lol! We've always had to go across the railroad tracks to get out of our yard, but my dad is working on fixing us a road to go out the back way. So, that'll be cool.
It's so hard to believe all the storms that are going on. All the hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. Now they're saying that over 30,000 died in the earthquake in Pakistan. That just tears my heart out. But, it's also encouraging at the same time, because the Bible tells us that when all sorts of storms, wars, etc. start taking place, that we should "look up...for your redemption draweth nigh" (Luke 21:28). So, JESUS IS COMING SOON!!! Oh what excitement and anticipation!!!!!!!!!!! But, while we wait, we must do what God has called us to do. So, I encourage you all to stay focused, pursue God like never before, share the love of God with others like never before, and be encouraged...because He will come back!!!!!!!
Sorry about this being so random, but this is my xanga site, so I can make it as random as I like!!!
Love you all,

| I'm updating this at the request of Michelle!!! My classes are going ok so far, I guess. I'm really nervous and scared that I won't be able to do everything like I should as far as nursing goes. Of course I know that "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). So, I know that regardless of what happens, God is right there beside me to lead, guide, and direct me. There is sooo much stuff to read.
Anyways, I go to Restorative Care (my assigned place) next week for orientation. The week after that, I start taking care of a patient. So, I'm totally excited about that!!!! I can't believe that the first two years of basics are over with! Yay!!! It's going to be a fun, yet stressful semester...but God is good!!
On a happier/lighter note, CRU was amazing Monday night! There were sooo many new people there!! I'm totally convinced that God is going to show Himself mightily this semester!! Souls will be saved, hearts will be mended, relationships will be restored, and destinies will be discovered---and all the glory will go to God!!!!!!!!!
So, tomorrow is the Leadership Retreat at Lake Bowen. It's going to be fun!! Well, I guess I should go begin reading these huge textbooks...
I luv y'all!!!
